Jesus said, “… upon this Rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (St. Matt. 16:18). This is the “The Stone of Truth” as revealed to William Saunders Crowdy who re-established the Church of God and Saints of Christ in 1896.

William Saunders Crowdy, born in Kansas, U.S.A., son of Basil and Sarah-Ann Crowdy, was predestined for greatness.  Jeremiah 1:5 appropriately described his purpose, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”

The Doctrine Of ChristThe doctrine and organizational structure of the Church was revealed to Crowdy in a vision according to Numbers 12:6, “And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak to him in a dream.”  Williams Saunders Crowdy was later known as a Prophet of God by this words and deeds.

The “Seven Keys” as revealed to the Prophet of God who came in the spirit and power of Elijah, form the basic doctrine of the Church of God and Saints of Christ.  As a Jewish religion, the Church believes and practices the sayings and teachings of Jesus Christ; himself a Jew of the seed of Abraham of the tribe of Judah.  Acts of the Apostles 4:12 records “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

As a Jewish religion, the Seventh Day Sabbath, (Exodus 20:10-11) the Feast of the Lord’s Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread (Exodus chapters 12 & 13, St. Luke 22) are observed.  The Feast of Tabernacles (Holy Convocation) and the Feast of Pentecost are other observances; Leviticus 23, Exodus 34:22-23, Deut. 16:16, St. John 7:2, Acts 2.

We believe in the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1-18) and the literal adherence to the teachings of the Bible as positive guides for man’s salvation.  Members are added to the Church upon confession of their faith in Christ Jesus, by Baptism (by immersion). The Whole Armour is later placed on the newly baptized who is admonished to keep the Commandments of God; Revelation 22:14
