THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM!!!
- 8-17-2010
The Gospel Of The Kingdom
“…faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17
“…The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” These words were quoted by Jesus as He came into Galilee preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God; Mark 1:14-15.
A Kingdom is different from a republic or democracy, in that the King is the sole ruler of the Kingdom. Laws are neither established by consensus, popular opinion nor by representative bodies. The King’s word is law. Residents in the Kingdom are called ‘subjects’ which means they are in subjection to the King’s power and/or authority. Today the concept of a kingdom with respect to our relationship with God is just as valid as it ever was. God is the sovereign ruler in the Kingdom and we should be His loyal and obedient subjects.
There have been many kingdoms since the inception of time. For example, the kingdoms of Egypt, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome, the Soviet Union and the United Kingdom. The ideology on which these were founded and practiced resulted in little or no satisfaction to the masses. Many of these Kingdoms have passed and others are soon non-existent, but God’s kingdom, stands forever. This eternal Kingdom is not of this world; John 18:36. Entrance is hard for a rich man; Matthew19:23-24, and impossible for one who prefers a life of sin; 1st Cor. 6:9-10, Galations 5:19-21. Therefore the Kingdom of God is to be sought above everything in this life; Matthew 6:33 and is worth any sacrifice that can ever be made; Matthew 13:44-46.
Consequently, such a kingdom is not for everyone. The Kingdom belongs to the poor in spirit, Matthew 5:3; to those who are born of the water and of the spirit, St. John 3:5; to those who have become as little children, Matthew 18:3; and to anyone who does the will of the Heavenly Father, Matt: 7:21. The Kingdom is also for individuals who have the fortitude to endure much tribulation, Acts 14:22 and those who are too determined to turn back, Luke 9:62.
The Gospel of the Kingdom of God is His truth which His Church declares. Sharp, clear perceptions of truth will never be the reward of indolence. We cannot expect to gain spiritual knowledge without earnest toil. Those who desire to find the truth must search relentlessly as the miner digs for the treasures hidden in the earth. No half-hearted indifferent work will avail as God’s word should not only be read but it should be studied with whole-hearted diligence and prayer.
One must lay aside pre-conceived opinions, hereditary and cultivated ideas at the door of investigation; for if one searches the scriptures to vindicate his or her opinions, one will never reach the truth. Therefore one must search, in order to learn what the Lord says. Now if conviction comes as you search, if you see that your cherished opinions are not in harmony with the truth, do not twist the truth in order to suit your beliefs; but accept the light given. Those who accept the light will be rewarded, for Christ will quicken the understanding. “Yea, if thou criest after knowledge and liftest up thy voice for understanding; if thou seekest her as silver and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God...” Proverbs 2:3-6.
God sent his Son, Jesus, into the world to redeem man for a Kingdom not of this world. Jesus will come again to separate the redeemed from the lost, Isaiah 9:6; to gather His people into His Kingdom for eternity. At His coming, the kingdoms of the world will be no more. They will be pulverized. God’s Kingdom will consume them and take over the affairs of the world. “…The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign forever and ever” Rev. 11-15. The Kingdom eternal will preserve nothing that is unworthy but will preserve all that is glorious and honorable in the nations of the world.
The Church of God and Saints of Christ is the pillar and ground of truth; God’s Kingdom that shall stand forever!

Great article
find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand.
It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I'm looking forward for your next
post, I'll try to get the hang of it!
